Bassmonsters

Originally "Claus Freudenstein's Bassmonsters" was a project band that was founded by Claus Freudenstein for the opening of the first "Great Wide Open" festival. Deep Purple, Status Quo and other international artists performed during this festival.

Claus Freudenstein's Bassmonsters are Thomas Jauch (solo bassist at the Bayerische Staatsoper), Krasen Zagorski (Münchner Philharmoniker), Stephan Bauer (Niederbayerische Philharmonie) and Claus Freudenstein himself.

Claus Freudenstein's students were also involved in this project. They helped create a full sound and an incomparable stage setting.

The band's setlist for the "GWO" included the following titles:

  1. Kickstart (T. Osborne)
  2. Rockmedley from Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Status Quo, Metallica, Bon Jovi and Beethoven /li>
  3. Nothing Else Matters (Metallica)
  4. Creeping Death (Metallica)
  5. Bass Metal (T. Osborne)
Claus Freudenstein specially arranged all of the titles for the instrumentation and the performance at the Great Wide Open.
